The Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s 2014 National SAM Awards were held in Halifax on Friday, March 6 and Mahogany was named Canada’s Community Development of the Year! We are so proud to add this to the list of achievements that Hopewell Residential and the community of Mahogany have accomplished.
Our stunning southeast community, with its combined 84 acre lake and beachfront, private beaches, 22,000 sq.ft. beach club, and countless other amenities has been named Calgary’s Community of the Year for the past two years at the CHBA Calgary Region SAM Awards as well as Alberta’s Community of the Year at the Provincial level. We are thrilled that we have been recognized on a national scale and can now call Mahogany Canada’s Community of the Year as well!
Not only did Mahogany win this prestigious award, but our Triumph rear-attached garage show home was a finalist for Single Detached Home Between 1,500 and 2,200 Square Feet. This home is part of a brand new line of Rear-Attached Garage homes in Mahogany which introduce a new style of living to the community. The Triumph has been so well received, and we are so proud that it has been acknowledged on a nation-wide level.
With a national award under our belts, we once again head into the CHBA Calgary Region SAM Awards in April, in which we have been nominated for 13 awards between our housing and land divisions. We are so proud to be recognized for our efforts in a number of areas, including:
· Community of the Year for Mahogany – for the third year in a row
· Show Home Parade of the Year for the new Rear-Attached Garage show home parade in Mahogany
· Best New Home – $255,000-$294,999 for our Sonik attached home
· Best Multi-Family Community for Chalet No4 in Copperfield
· Best Town Home – up to $299,999 for Chalet No5 – B Plan in Copperfield
· Best New Design Villa/Duplex/Townhome 1,200 sq.ft. and over for Chalet No5 – D Plan in Copperfield
We have also been nominated for an additional 9 awards in Edmonton for the CHBA Edmonton Region Awards of Excellence. We couldn’t be happier about these nominations and we’d like to acknowledge none of this would be possible without an excellent team, our trades and our partners in business behind us. We can’t wait to celebrate our accomplishments at the upcoming award ceremonies.
