At Hopewell Residential Management LP, we collect personal information to better serve your needs. Whether it be purchasing a home from us or obtaining service or warranty work, we are here to make sure that you get everything you need.
In order to provide you with the best possible service and advise you of promotions, we may collect the following information when necessary:
- contact and mailing information such as name, address, telephone numbers, fax numbers and email addresses
- your mortgage or financial history as required when purchasing a home from us
- any other relevant information which is necessary to build your home or provide service and warranty work
- information gathered through surveys, contests and/or service inquiries
We may need to collect other personal information depending on the circumstances, but we will ask you directly and ensure that you agree prior to doing so.
Obtaining Your Consent
Hopewell Residential Management LP collects, uses or discloses personal information for the sole purpose of building your new home or providing you with service and/or warranty work. Your knowledge and consent are required for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, except as permitted or required by any applicable law or statute in the province of Alberta. You may decline to have your personal information collected, used or disclosed. However, this choice may prevent Hopewell Residential Management LP from providing you with the necessary products and/or services you request.
From time to time, Hopewell Residential Management LP will use your personal information to contact you for marketing purposes in order to advise you of special promotions and Hopewell Residential Management LP activities and events. This contact will be made through direct marketing via telephone, mail or email. Unless you have stated otherwise, we will consider that you have consented to the use and disclosure of your information for this purpose. You may opt out of receiving marketing information by contacting our Privacy Officer.
Safeguarding Your Personal Information
Like you, we value your personal information. Part of valuing that information is making sure that it is protected and kept confidential.
We are in the process of achieving this by:
- instituting a policy where all our employees sign a confidentiality agreement
- keeping our records in locked filing cabinets
- having up to date computer security such as passwords, encryption and firewalls
- instituting a policy for our trade partners/suppliers to sign a privacy and confidentiality agreement ensuring that your personal information is protected by them
- restricting third party access to your personal information
Updating Your Personal Information
Hopewell Residential Management LP will do its best to ensure that your personal information is correct and kept current.
We will keep your information as long as is necessary to continue to meet your customer needs and any legal requirements we may have. However, once your personal information is no longer needed, we will destroy it.
If your personal information changes, please inform us of the change and any other information you feel is necessary. Also, if your personal information is incorrect, then please notify us of the correct information.
Controlling Your Personal Information
We believe that part of establishing trust and integrity comes from allowing you to control your own personal information. As such, we will collect information about you on a voluntary basis. However, in some circumstances before we collect personal information from you, we will have you complete a consent form that authorizes our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.

The Hopewell Residential Management LP Privacy Officer provides you with the opportunity to access your personal information that is held by us. It is our policy to ensure that customers can make appointments to review their personal information on-site or alternatively, receive one complimentary copy of all their documents to keep in their own personal file. If you require another copy of such information or further information, please contact our Privacy Officer at (403) 237-8555. Please note that a nominal fee may be charged based on the volume of information requested.
In certain circumstances, there may be certain restrictions on your right to access your personal information as specified by applicable laws and statutes.
