And, three of our team members have recently been promoted into roles that allow Hopewell to become even better at creating the spaces and places where people love to live.
We’re pleased to announce the following promotions within our Calgary corporate office:
- Jill MacKenzie, CPA, CA, CFA | Chief Financial Officer
Jill joined the Hopewell team in 2012, and in that time has been instrumental in leading the charge for Hopewell’s financial decisions. She has over 20 years of experience, and is responsible for the strategic financial management and direction of the single-family building, multi-family building and land development activities of Hopewell Residential. She oversees the Finance, Information Systems, Sales, Design and Purchasing departments; along with corporate strategy, financial planning, risk management, financing and cash flows.
- Brett Friesen P.Eng. | Vice President, Community Development
Brett has been with Hopewell since 2005, and in his new role, he oversees the development of all Hopewell communities, new land acquisitions and planning applications in Calgary, Edmonton and beyond. Further, Brett facilitates land development, manages lot inventories and future land supply, and oversees management of all onsite construction and community maintenance within Hopewell projects. Brett is a member of the BILD Calgary Region Board of Directors, and continues to serve on various committees and initiatives within BILD Calgary Region and community Boards.
- Manoj Patil, CA | Vice President & Corporate Controller, Finance
Manoj has been at Hopewell Residential for three years, after spending 10 years in public practice and auditing as a senior manager with a Big 4 accounting firm. In his new role, Manoj works with financial institutions and investors on financial management and oversight for Hopewell’s activities, and to maximize investor return. Manoj also plays a key role as a financial strategy lead in the areas of land, single-family and multi-family housing construction, including facilitating the expansion of Hopewell Residential into new markets and supporting new land acquisitions.
