Erin and Andrew have enjoyed living in Secord since September of 2022, when they purchased a quick possession home, the Astrid from Hopewell. Their home in Secord is special to their family, as it was their first home purchase. Erin communicated that she thinks Secord is the “perfect neighbourhood for new families”!
When it came to selecting a home, Erin was grateful for the Hopewell sales team who were able to align her family's lifestyle with the right home model, the Astrid. Erin loves many details from her home including the industrial-style lighting, large windows that bring in natural light, the “beautiful granite sink”, and most importantly the vinyl flooring - which withstands living with a toddler and a dog while continuing to look luxurious. Erin and Andrew enjoy hosting holiday events and game nights in their new space because of the open concept main floor - which is perfect for entertaining!
Not only did Erin express her excitement regarding her new home, but she explained how much she enjoys living in the community of Secord. Erin explained their home is close to their workplaces, childcare, and walking paths through nature where they take daily walks. Erin also eagerly anticipates the planned recreation centre that will be within walking distance of her home!
“There will be a library, a pool. So when my daughter is 5 years old, I'm going to be able to do all of her lessons and recreational activities within walking distance… it is an investment in my daughter's future and my family's future.”
Erin also mentioned she appreciates the people within the community of Secord; neighbours that are always willing to lend a hand, and the great events held by the Secord Community League.
“Our neighbours are very friendly. We know most of our block, but there's also a Secord community Facebook page and I have found that to be really amazing for helping people to connect.”
In summary, Erin expressed this of her experience with Hopewell,
“I recommend building a Hopewell home only because buying a house is super stressful and it makes the process so much easier. You don't have to think about anything because the experts do it for you.”
