Remember that fabulous resort concierge who made every part of your family’s vacation seamless? Hopewell Residential has applied that same high level of one-on-one service to building your new home. We talk to Christie Deans, Manager, Customer Experience, about Calgary's unique Hopewell Liaison Program.

Q: What is the liaison’s role?

A: They are a dedicated, knowledgeable, customer experience specialist who works one-on-one with Hopewell home buyers throughout – and beyond — the homebuilding experience It’s all about keeping Calgary homeowners up-to-date and informed, and providing a personalized experience to every new homeowner.

Q: What are the most common concerns new homebuyers have during the build process?

A: Homeowners are always eager to know what stage their home is at during construction and will have questions about excavation, cabinets, and everything in between. Without a liaison, they may not know where to turn – good news is, we keep homeowners informed with photos and updates throughout the construction of their home. Beyond construction questions, home buyers often have questions around making design selections, construction site visits, and possession dates. No question is off the table for Hopewell’s liaisons. They are here to help you Live Happy!

Q: How exactly do the liaison help throughout the homebuilding experience?

A: In each case, they answer questions and guide homeowners through the entire process from the firm sale all the way through to possession day and beyond!

Q: During the actual building process, how does the liaison help?

A: Outside of being available to the home buyer any time during the build process, your dedicated liaison provides construction updates, checks in after site visits (we offer two opportunities to tour your home as it’s under construction), and provides information about the various construction stages and inspection checkpoints that your home will go through. You stay involved and informed of the build all the way through!

Q: What about after move-in?

A: The same liaison continues to be the main point of contact after possession and during the warranty process. Hopewell liaisons attend the always-exciting possession day and follow up a couple of days later to see if there are any questions or concerns. The homeowner is encouraged to reach out to their liaison at any time, before and after possession. They stay in touch after possession and help answer any questions that can arise as you become more familiar with your brand new home!

Q: What are the liaisons’ special skills that give buyers confidence they will be well taken care of?

A: They are approachable and empathetic people who are motivated to provide the best experience possible for our homeowners. Consider Tiffany, with 10 years' experience in customer service at a major airline and is a skilled problem solver and communicator; Spencer who has experience working in communications, marketing and customer service for property management companies and non-profit organizations, or Dan, who has a strong customer service leadership background at major retailers. We are proud of our passionate team of Hopewell Liaisons - each of them has a special knack for connecting with homeowners, answering questions thoughtfully and with care, and keeping home building fun all the way through!
